The VIP Fashion Spectacular Party 20th September 08
The hectic London Fashion Week events covered by Pukka PR culminated in a massive celebration with The VIP Fashion Spectacular which I helped to create in collaboration with Voodoo Entertainment, Decadent Events supported by Asiana Magazine at The Worship. The fashion show was photographed by Asiana's Sohail Anjum plus others.
Managed to head hunt and invite three totally contrasting emerging designers to showcase their latest collections at our event.
The Fashion show commenced with designer Nico Almontero's Disciplined and their in-house models modelling a trendy and handcrafted range for men & women "a retro and eccentric label... a collection of unique designs that have never been seen before. Each Disciplined garment is limited in edition and instantly lends a look that stands out from the crowd. ''
Secondly, Diva Diva Diamond collection showcased an ultra glam gorgeously colourful and highly decorated range of Saris modelled by the designer Payal Patel's in-house models. "The Diva brand is symbolic of spiritualism and materialism. A Divas style is always feminine, glamorous and sexy. No one can out do a Diva, everything she wears is perfection.''
The final collection was the Moksa Surya range of intriguing easy to wear, conceptual creations by designer Farah Damji a "new Spring Summer Ready to Wear; the diffusion line of Moksa Handmade in London which has created bespoke pieces for Madonna, Mary J Blige and Indian Hip Hop Diva Shakti'' using ethically produced textiles. The guest models for Moksa Surya clothes were my friends Tanvir Dhanoa, Trupti Reddy and Bojana Petrovic who kindly volunteered to model with me for Moksa Surya.
All the lovely models collectively were highly professional, enthusiastic and enjoyed the moment posing for pictures making the three Designer showcases a knock-out! So much so, mid stream the models were overwhelmed by over excited spectators whilst security struggled to control the crowds.
This sell out event attracted a phenomenal turn out ‘breathing room only' and was a huge success with the venue full to capacity and after the Fashion Show the celebrations continued into the early hours in the City.
What a stylish and spectacular way to end London Fashion Week!
